“Who Moved My Pulpit?” is the title of a book by Thom Rainer. Our churches are planning online services, and our colleges are gearing up for online classes to complete the semester, businesses are closing, and the world looks drastically different for now.
Your pulpit has been moved, but not without some resistance. Change is difficult and with any change, there always comes challenges.
- As we approach the weekend I would like to encourage you to:
- Don’t be afraid to try something different. If it doesn’t work the first time, make necessary adjustments and try again.
- Don’t be overwhelmed. Everyone is having to learn to do ministry differently.
- Don’t be tempted to default to the normal. There is a new norm.
- Avoid peer pressure. You do not have to measure up to the other online churches.
- Just be the church that God created you to be.
- Seize this opportunity to build a stronger community among your congregation.
- Stay in touch with those you serve.
- Build teams of people that can assist with follow up. This is the new “Connections Team”
One day we will be back in our church buildings, but ministry will never look the same again. Our method of ministry has been revolutionized forever!
LifePoint Ministries is committed to our mission of:
- Building healthy individuals and churches
- Broadening our borders in 75% of the counties in Georgia
- Bridging people to Jesus
Let’s continue to do this together. Now, more than ever, people are looking for hope. We have the answer, Jesus, and we can still share the gospel in many different ways!
